1. This Is Not About Mirror Muscles. - CrossFit vs Bodybuilding
Let’s be clear from the start: this isn’t about chasing symmetry. It’s not about isolating muscle groups. It’s not about “leg day” or “chest and back.” This is not bodybuilding.
When I wake up, I don’t plan my training around what looks good in the mirror. I don’t ask, “What muscles am I hitting today?” Instead, I ask:
What’s the WOD? What challenge am I facing today?
2. Powerhouse or Weakness - I Face It Anyway
Most days, I choose my WOD from CrossFit.com or Beyond the Whiteboard. Some workouts highlight my strengths — the movements I love and feel comfortable with. Others expose my weaknesses — those lifts or skills that make me pause, breathe deeper, and lean into discomfort.
But that’s the whole point. CrossFit isn’t about picking what’s easy; it’s about showing up for what’s necessary.
3. Performance Is the Byproduct - Not the Goal
My strength, endurance, stamina, and mobility have improved dramatically over time. But those gains weren’t the goal; they were the result.
I train to get better at life, not just to look better in photos. That means focusing on what truly matters:
Movement. Mechanics. Consistency. Not just aesthetics.
4. Function Over Form, Every Time
CrossFit teaches you to move with purpose. To adapt. To lift, run, and recover. To be ready — not for the stage, but for the unknown and unknowable.
I’m not training to look like someone else. I’m training to be someone:
Stronger. Sharper. More resilient. That’s functional fitness. That’s what lasts.
5. Every Rep Is a Decision
Every time I step into a workout, I make a decision: to not coast, to not do what’s comfortable, to push myself even when I’m alone, with no music, no cameras, and no crowd.
Because legacy doesn’t come from the spotlight. It’s built in silence, rep by rep.
🔚 This Is CrossFit. At Its Core.
It’s not about muscle splits. It’s not about posing. It’s not about aesthetics.
It’s about showing up. It’s about moving better. It’s about living with intention. It’s about legacy.
