First Episode of My Podcast Training with Gus White

Hi, I'm Gus White, I'm an Argentinian living in Mexico for 20 years. I'm a Marketing expert, Fitness lover and Personal Trainer. My main Fitness success story is myself. Today at my 62 years of youth I am in the best physical shape of my life.

This is my First Episode where I am introducing you to: Starting or Returning to Training.

Fitness for me is not a hobby, it's a passion and a way of life. Whether you are looking to lose weight, improve your appearance or your physical condition, Fitness is the best choice you can make for your body, your mind and your life. Training in its measure allows you to enjoy and perform better in all aspects of your life, prolonging and improving your quality of life. On this site my main desire is to share with you a passion and how Fitness can positively impact all aspects of your life by setting goals and overcoming them.

It's never too late to get back in shape if you put your mind to it. There is honestly no excuse not to look and feel better.

If you ask me if I have always been physically fit I should tell you no, I had my phases, work, college, living with a partner, getting married and having kids or even changing countries, of course it changes your lifestyle and I had my intermittences in the intensity with which I trained but it was in 2006 when I fell in love again with hard and consistent training, and it changed my life.

Since I was 25 years old, which was when I started training harder, where boxing, weight training and running were my regular workouts, friends and acquaintances have always consulted me and asked me to put together a training routine for them or to train them, which I have done for free.

But it was from 2012 that I have formaly worked as a Personal Trainer mainly on an individual basis. I have had the privilege of training a wide variety of people, from children and teens to young and middle aged adults, from overweight individuals to advanced martial artists.

My main fitness success story is myself. I went from a body fat level of 25% in 2003 to the 9% with a high volume of muscle mass that I currently have in 2022.

Take note of the ingredients to achieve the body you deserve: Time, Effort, Discipline and Dedication. All of these are not magic words and are within you.

I am convinced that Fitness is a true Fountain of Youth. But for this you must respect the 3 fundamentals of Fitness:

1) Healthy and balanced nutrition

2) Adequate rest

3) Intelligent training based on: Weight Training, Cardiovascular exercises – what we call Cardio - and Flexibility and Mobility Exercises.

If some of these fundamentals are not met, you will not achieve your goal.

Remember that to reach the goal you must first climb one step at a time.

Today I train as hard or harder than I did several years ago, more focused and smarter and because of that, now past my 62nd birthday, I am in the best physical shape of my life and competing in CrossFit internationally as a Masters Athlete.

My goal is to reach my best fitness level and become a more complete CrossFit Master Athlete.

My passion for Fitness has led me to be permanently studying and experimenting with different ways to improve the type of training.

That personal experience and acquired knowledge is what I have tried and want to share with all those who ask for my advice as a Personal Trainer, on how to improve their physical condition and be better with themselves.

The basic and practical way to train yourself, at the time you want to start or resume your training, is with your own body weight, without the need for a gym subscription or any equipment or dedicated space do to it.

After you have established the habit of training and improving your physical condition you can begin to incorporate new elements: weights with barbells and dumbbells or machines, pull-up bar, ropes, sandbags, medicine balls, among others.

Soon I will be sharing with you my experience in Fitness, Fitness as a True Fountain of Youth, Functional Training, Body Shapes and their considerations - anthropomorphology - Nutrition and Training Tips, among many other things.
